Well, the past couple of months have been quite adventurous. We have experienced many changes.... so many in fact, it has been overwhelming to blog about it. Here goes.... On Jan. 11, 2009 Greg and I had a conversation about feeling a strong call to full time ministry. We had spent the morning serving in all three services at our church. So we had the blessing of listening to the message all three times. The message was "Seek first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness, and all else will be added to you." Matt 6:33. Ministry is something Greg and I have aways had a passion for as soon as we each became believers. But for the last couple years, we have been seeking our own kingdom. We each felt a strong conviction and desire to follow where God was leading on this. So, we started taking steps to submit to this call. I continued with school seeing as I was already a third of the way done. Greg began looking into seminaries and getting ready to put the house on the market. In February Greg was laid off, which couldn't have been more of a blessing. It was just confirmation that God is in control even though we wondered how we were going to pay the mortgage. Once we had the house on the market it sold within three weeks, close to asking price and cash! Wow! God is good! With the sale of the house, we are able to pay off all debt with the exception of school loans; something Greg and I have wanted to do for a while! Now Greg is starting online summer courses at Dallas Theological Seminary while I am doing an internship in buying for United Supermarkets. We will be moving into our little house in a couple weeks. Greg's little sister Mandy will also live with us for the fall semester as she and I will both graduate in December. Then we are headed to the Big D! I think that pretty much catches us up on the latest happenings. Moving will be bitter sweet. We have so many wonderful memories with this house, remodeling it and making it our own. But we know that God is glorified with our decision to follow Him and he has blessed us beyond belief. Thank you for being interested in our lives. I hope to be better about keeping up with this blog in the future. - Erin
