Great news for those who loved and miss Domino Mag!

I am posting this because I know there are a few of you who appreciate great and relevant design as much as I do.

About eight or so months ago, my favorite magazine, Domino, went out of print and shut their doors FOREVER. I'm not gonna lie, it was a sad day for me. It was like Christmas morning when I received my new Domino magazine in the mail each month. I would cuddle up on the couch for hours soaking in all the great design ideas. When I received my last magazine in the mail, I felt like I was saying goodbye to close friend. Ok, that might be taking it a little far. But I was truly upset about it, and I've missed it ever since.

Domino is not the only shelter magazine to bite the dust in the past few years. House & Garden, In Style Home, Cottage Living and Country Home have also shut down shop. Troubling economic times have most likely led to the industry's struggle. For one, most folks aren't spending money on design projects for their home like they used to. Second, subscriptions cost money. And when readers can get the same design tips and advise online, who (besides me) would spend the money on a magazine subscription? Actually, I'm not the only one. Apparently Domino had over 850,000 subscribers. Anyway......

Well, Lonny Mag has swooped in and saved the day with their brand new 150+ page, Domino inspired, yet freshly updated, F R E E (as in you don't have to pay for it), online magazine. The colorful, photo-rich pages are full of great ideas for do-it-yourselfers like me, as well as those working directly with a designer. Here are a few of my favorite images.

I imagine making a headboard like this for my daughter's room one day.
Love the zebra rug, giant black drum lampshade, and exposed rafters.
Actually contemplating painting my coffee table this soft yellow color.
Don't shoot me mom.

Fun online mag! Keep up the posts. I don't read it every week, but when I take a lazy Saturday to catch up on some of my favorite people, I want to go to yours! Hope you are doing good!!

Love the blog Erin. That blonde coffee table reminds me of grandma's buffet and kitchen table. Glad you are doing so well with the job interviews etc. God is good!!!
