A Trip to Dallas and Mary Poppins

This past weekend was really fun. We took a trip with Mandy and both dogs to see our families in Dallas. We got in Friday afternoon and ate lunch at Taco Diner in Highland Park Village. Their Nachos are awesome! Taco Diner is part of the "M Crowd" which is the parent company of Mi Cocina. If you haven't tried Mi Cocina, you haven't had truly wonderful Mexican food.
The next day I dragged my mother and sister in law to North Park mall for an entire day of jean shopping. All the women reading this blog know exactly what I'm talking about because finding the right pair of jeans is an exhausting day-long (sometimes longer) event. After 8 stores and probably 40+ trial runs, I found the perfect pair at Banana Republic. Praise the Lord!
Saturday afternoon, when we got home from our shopping trip, Daddy Mac had surprised the fam with tickets to see Mary Poppins' Broadway show at Dallas Fair Park. I knew my mom would love it so we got here a ticket too. Sunday afternoon we went to the show and it was amazing! Greg had never seen a Broadway production before. He never knew what he was missing. He has a new found appreciation for the whole thing. He was most amazed with the scene changes. He kept looking through the binoculars to see if he could figure out all the tricks.
Monday afternoon I had an interview in Frisco with the United office there. Most of you know that I did my summer internship with United Supermarkets in Lubbock. Well they have a regional office in Frisco too. The interview went well and I would really like to get a job with them after I graduate. I am also doing another internship with them this fall in their Talent Management (HR) department. It seems as though God is really opening doors for me in this company. Thank so much for your many prayers on the job hunt.
Peace - Erin

It is so nice to hear you are doing good! Are you still in Lubbock are you already in Dallas? I laughed when I read your story about Mary Poppins, because we are going to the TX-OU game in a few weeks and I had mentioned to Emmie that Mary Poppins was in Dallas. Today, I overheard her telling my dad, "Boom-pa, I am so sad because I don't have any friend"(a bold face lie and in the most pathetic voice you have ever heard), then perking up, "so will you take me to Mary Poppins?" Talk about manipulation!
