Day 18 - 43 days left

Here is a little update on the house. If you recall, there was a big wall separating the living room and dining room. In the picture below you can see that wall is gone. I am standing in the entrance to the house. There used to be a solid wall on either side of the fireplace. We have opened it up to the kitchen and living room. The little half wall on the left of the fireplace will be a bar looking into the kitchen. We have also taken off the paneling that was on the fireplace. We have ordered a really cool stone to cover the brick. This will be the kitchen. The cabinets should be here in a couple weeks. We will order the appliances sometime this week. The past weekend we picked out our tile, counter tops and back splash. This is a shot of the new ceiling. It has been raised at least a foot which makes the place seem that mush more open. Its gonna be so cool. Here I'm standing in front of the laundry room. You can really see from this view how open the whole living area is now that all the walls are gone. Starting in the bottom right corner of the photo you can see the line where the support wall used to be. The only thing keeping the house from caving in are five microlams which are now carrying the wait of the roof. Pretty cool.
