A Friendly Reminder

Election Day 2008 and the lines to vote are sooooo long! Good thing we got our vote in late Friday night. As the volunteers were beginning to shut down shop, Greg and I ran up to see if we were too late. These gals were not too happy with us (espesially Greg) because he registered twice on accident. It caused some confussion but we at least we did our political duty. Either way the tables turn, this election will be historical (not that other elections havent been) I just mean that we have never had a black president or a female vise president. I think it's kindof cool. Regardless of how you vote - if you over the age of 18 it is a must. I have so many friends that have told me they arent voting because they dont know enough about the candidates or the issues. People! It is our responsability to educate ourselves. I respect the fact that they dont want to just make a popularity vote but it is imperitive that we do our homework. My first time to vote was in 2004 and I'll admit, I voted republican because thats the way I was raised and thats how my family was voting. I didnt take the time to understand what was going on and the issues being addressed. This year was different for me and I feel much better about casting my vote. With that said.... get out and VOTE!
