Last weekend Texas tech celebrated the 50th annual Carol of Lights Festival. At the beginning of each fall semester Christmas Lights are strung on every building lining the main entrance of campus and Memorial Circle. At the beginning of December there is a huge celebration with lots of activities, speakers and performers. Then at around dark the campus lights up with more than 25,000 red, orange and white lights.

Before the main building was lit. There is a huge wreath circling the entrance to the administration building, and two large "50th"s on either side. This is the stage where the speakers and performers stood.

Me and Natalie waiting in the bitter cold. We couldn't feel our toes.

Ta Da! This picture obviously doesn't do it justice. But you get the point.
It's such a refreshing experience to hear musical performers pay homage to the real purpose of Christmas. Songs such as "Oh Holy Night" and "Angels We Have Heard on High" were sung by the university choir.
